recker warning

The following piece of paper was taped to our Saturday morning edition of the Louisville newspaper, The Courier-Journal.

I'm not making this up. It reads:

Hi
If you see an Asian woman she about 5 feet tall and weighs about 100lb. Day or night do not let her park her vehicle infront of your house. She is a Home Recker ........Thanks

Perhaps this needs further explanation. It is as mysterious to my family as it is to all of you. We don’t know if this was taped to our paper by the delivery person. Or if someone drove around our neighborhood putting out this bulletin to be cautious of Asian Lady Home Recker [sic]. We also don’t know how many of our neighbors get the Louisville newspaper in addition to/or in place of our local Bowling Green Daily News.

On the one hand, I kind of admire that the writer of the note found her own inner Loretta Lynn and called out the woman who “recked” her home.
