After doing something wonky to my neck last week my weekend shaped up very nicely. Because of
my scoliosis my mid-back bothers me from time to time. And if that area (the top of my “S” curve”) gets outta whack my neck often follows. Thursday night I did not sleep well for having a difficult time getting comfortable. To top that off Derby had had a Greenies treat (never again) and it upset his poor little system (I’m telling you, never again). Poor little poopy puppy. He whined from his crate through out the night. We’d go outside, and then come back in, and I’d have to try to get comfortable again. I went to
Dr. Ray Friday night and left his office feeling much much better. (Seriously, never again on the Greenies thing.)
On Saturday I got an oil change (okay, my car did), took Derby to the vet for his shots (he’s now 12+ pounds!), and Mom and I enjoyed some shopping time. Went to LYS, Hobby Lobby, and WKU’s bookstore to finish up gathering items for my FCS spoliee’s package. It’s always good when Mom and I get to have our girl time and go exploring. While eating lunch at Arby’s Mom looked out the window and asked, “Is it snowing?” I said it surely wasn’t. It must be some fuzz or something blowing around. A few minutes later there was no doubt. It was snowing! Big fat flakes. I hadn’t even left the house with a jacket, hat, or scarf. Crazy weather. Then we went to Kroger and as we were leaving we purchased Girl Scout cookies that the Troop will send to Iraq. Isn’t that a good idea? And we saw Derby’s vet leaving the store. First time we’ve seen in her civilian clothes, no white coat. Derby, your vet has a life!
Sunday I sang with the worship team. Very good sermon by
Pastor Rick. Dad and I got my car washed (had no idea how dirty it really was until it was clean) to get the snow and salt of the last few weeks off. The multi-colored clown vomit soap made us laugh. Uncle Wayne joined us for Sunday dinner and we belatedly celebrated his birthday. Took Sunday afternoon naps. Watched
Babel. Finished putting together my FCS package. Played with Derby. Nice weekend. And then Monday comes and I have to go to work.

oh you too with the greenies? my dogs wolf 'em down so quickly that they always come back up. then there's a mes to clean up. AND it does nothing for cleaning their teeth/breath. such a rip off, those greenies, and they ain't cheap!
Yeah, Derby had horrible diarrhea for at least 12 hours.
