oh the humanity...

Everyone knows that Kentucky is a basketball state. We know horses, we know bourbon, we know Bill Monroe and Muhammad Ali and George Clooney's dad, and we know basketball. But this fall we’ve found ourselves in the middle of some football excitement thanks to my favorite team in the Commonweath, the University of Louisville Cardinals (GO CARDS!).I do know the difference between a field goal and a free throw. I know how many points a touchdown earns you. I know that the guys run after the guy with the ball and then jump on him. But beyond that I’m a little lost. And I really don’t understand it when they hold hands out on the field. But anyway…It was very painful to watch the last few minutes of tonight’s Louisville v. Rutgers game. That I do know. Louisville: 25 - Rutgers: 28

I just had a feeling when Rutgers got a second attempt at the final field goal that it wasn't going to be a happy ending. Good game though!

It was a good game until the end.
