John came back to BG with me and we met Mom & Dad at Chaney's Dairy Barn for supper. The ice cream is made right there. It is the freshest tasting ice cream I have ever had in my life. Straight form the Chaney Farm! I'm sure there are several steps in between...but it's like it came straight from the cow. Mmmm mmm mmm. Chaney's has a nice little gift area that features products solely produced in Kentucky. Soaps, jellies, honey, BBQ sauce, hand-crafted wooden kitchen utensils, just to name a few.
Then I came home to find a manila envelope on my bed. From the return address I could tell that it was from my Aunt Wilma, my mom’s sister, in Louisville. I opened the envelope and inside was the latest issue of Vogue Knitting’s knit.1 magazine. On the cover was a post-it note that read:
Happy Birthday!
Blessings during your surgery and recoup!
Love-Aunt Wilma
