hail hail the pink and green

Here is my secret project that I couldn’t talk about because I’d ruin the surprise. I knit a pair of Ballband Dishcloths for BFF. It took me a long enough for such a simple pattern because I began in the middle of moving. Now they are complete and have been sent off to Campbellsville through the magic of the U.S. Postal Service. I chose the very 80’s Prep kelly green and a hot-ish pink because it is a favorite color combination of ours. Like if Be andI had our own sorority our colors, without a doubt, would be kelly green and pink. I got an email from Be this morning saying the discloths arrived and Cee Cee promptly confiscated them to use as blankies for Cuddles. That's my girl!

now, i was NOT in a sorority but i am an observer (read: stalker) of people. so, if your colors were indeed pink and green, you would be a Delta Zeta. Your mascot would be a turtle. and if you were on the Truman State University campus, you would have been considered hot, dateable, but nice and down to earth.
Any other useless and unsolicited information you need?

Be and I were NOT in sororities either. So very very not me. I didn’t even want to be part SAI (Sigma Alpha Iota) women’s music (professional) fraternity and I was a music major! That probably further solidified my being a slight outcast in the music department. We should make one up and make it all very goofy but totally exclusive.

When I was in college at the ol’ U of E I lived in the “residence hall” where most of the international students and patchouli people lived. Due to some old anti-brothel laws that forbade a certain number of women from sharing a house the tradition of on-campus sorority suites remained. All of the sororities suites were in my dorm. The dorm of the residents least likely to ever go Greek. And yes, we would stand out side of their suite doors and mock their chants. A! - O! - Pi! A! - A! - O! - Pi!
