You’re so tired of hearing about the booga bag I just finished...I know that. I need a new project and I don’t know what to do. I’m on a limited budget right now having just paid rent. I need some new needles and/or yarn to start just about anything that’s been on my list (socks, buttonhole bag, cable knit purse, clapotis, leg warmers). I don’t need another scarf this time of year (spring begins March 20th). I’m feeling uninspired by the needles and yarn I have at home. I want to start a pair of socks. But then I have to ask myself this question: Do I want gas in my car and food in my fridge or do I want knitting needles?
Right now I feel icky. I have a sore throat. I’m congested. I have sinus pressure. (Sudafed PE – Aisle 5!) At work I’m usually perfectly comfortable when everyone around me is complaining that it’s cold. But right now I feel a chill. I want a shawl. A blanket. I want a blanket. I want the 12 balls of $8.99/ball yarn required for the lovely softy blanket pattern I saw in the new Knit.1 magazine. I need a project. I need a project to work on during my flight (and layovers) to San Diego to visit Christy next week. I’m too easily distracted to read amongst moving crowds of people. If you’re wondering airlines do allow knitting needles on planes.
I also really need a haircut. I had about 10” of hair cut off in mid-December. Having been a long straight hair person for so long I was very use to getting my hair cut about every four to six months. But my Sienna Miller as Edie Sedgwick haircut has grown out very quickly and has lost it’s over all style. Now it’s a pointy in the corners kind of bob. I keep thinking about cutting some bangs myself...but think better of it. I don’t want the need to explain myself to Angie if I really mess up. I had to do that about a year ago after a self-highlighting...turned magenta...turned reddish brown fiasco. While she handled it well I knew that, on the inside, she was laughing at me. She tried to take the edge of by saying, “You usually do a very good job of coloring your own hair, Jennifer.” and I appreciated that. Angie has cut my hair for over seven years. She's gone through autumn color highlight phases, my fashion mullet phase, my Meg Ryan phase, and all the growing out phases in between. I should knit Angie a pair of socks. Or a cozy for her Barbicide. Does anyone have a set of size 3 double pointed needles I could borrow?
Don't call it a comeback I've been here for years I'm rocking my peers

I needed a little break. I decided not to apologize for it, but just DO IT.
So...I just did it. Now I think I am ready for some makeup + beauty product
