My Spring/Summer, 2009 issue of knit.1 arrived last week. The first thing that caught my eye was the cover model has my haircut.

There’s lots of info on cotton yarns – great for summertime knitting. The issue also includes patterns that call for shimmery metallic yarns.One of my favorite series of patterns contains four socks designed by popular knitting bloggers – Yarnissima, Cat Bordhi, Cookie A., and Grumperina. Their inspiration was a painting called Fresh, by artist Komi Chen.I loved seeing the different ways these designers were inspired – some using cables, other a lace pattern, while others used ribbing.
