oh! canada!

In the immortal words of Christopher Walkin, "Wowie wow wow wow."What an amazing package I received from my Favorite Color Swap Spoiler today. And spoil me she sure did! Her name is Sumiko and she lives all the way up in Alberta, Canada. Looking at her blog I think we are a great match. Mad props (did I just say that?) to our FSC2 Hostess, Nichole. Sumiko also seems to enjoy posting photos of her dog. I spied lots of pix of her pup, Miffy, on her blog. That alone tells you that we’re quite the pair.Of my three favorite colors (green, pink, and brown) she chose my mostest favoritest color, green. She did a terrific job of selecting yarn.Blue Moon - Socks That Rock in the colorway County Clare. I recently decided that I wanted Socks That Rock yarn and I hadn’t told anyone. Isn’t that amazing? It’s in fabulous shades of green with some turquoise to blue. And you have to feel this yarn. So soft, cool, and comforting.

Filatura Di Crosa multicolor mohair shade # 4118. More greens with tones of purple-indigo. It feels fancy.

And the next yarn is some that I have never before seen. It’s by Fleece Artist and it’s called Curlylocks and Slubby. I’ve not taken it all part yet. But it appears to be two yarns in one skein. It feels luscious. There is a pattern on the ball band called “Narrow Scarf” and you use the needles Sumiko enclosed.These needles are something new to me. They’re called swing needles and they are so cool. They are made of birch by River John Needle Company (located in Nova Scotia on Louisville Rd.) I am looking forward to trying them out. One of the ways you can use them is by knitting with one yarn on one end and then adding the second yarn on the other. Or something like that. I’m a tactile learning so I’ll have to get back to you later…She also included:
