I am still enjoying ogling the items sent to me by Sumiko, my FCS Spoliee. And Derby is greatly enjoying his duckie. It crinkles and squeaks and he seems to want to get to whatever is making the crinkling sounds. I know I am going to sound like one of those mothers who goes on like, “my baby is the most brilliant baby in the world…” when everyone else is thinking, “your child is average.” None-the-less, as Derby is maturing I am sometimes amazed at the little things. Other than what we refer to as his “Tasmanian Devil Episodes” he really is a very good little boy. Even tempered, easy going, easily trainable. This morning he brought me the new duck. I threw it. He walked over to it slowly. Walked back slowly and sat down in front of me. We repeated this. When he brought it back the second time I figured out that he was saying, “I don’t want to play fetch. I want to play tug-o-war with this, please.” So we did. And he was happy. And cute. AND THE SMARTEST PUPPY IN THE WORLD!
LYLASarah found mention of the swing needles that Sumiko gave me on Yarn Harlot. I think her post helps me better understand the what’s and what for. The swing needles and the Narrow Scarf must be a Canada thing. It all looks very fascinating to me. It’s so fun having new toys.
Don't call it a comeback I've been here for years I'm rocking my peers

Swing needles are like using circular needles to knit normally. You can knit without having to turn your work each row...
