back at 'cha!

I saw a neurosurgeon, Dr. Schoettle, this morning. He looked me in the eye and listened to what I had to say and those things matter to me. Plus, he was wearing a gold ring on his right hand and I’m pretty sure it was a gold brain. A sense of humor is something I look for in a doctor. He did the usual neurological exam. I think passed with flying colors.

Bend over, bend back, bend to the side…Does that hurt?
Yes, it does.
Lift your leg. Resist my hand. Raise your foot. Resist my hand. Does that hurt?
Yes, it does.
Your left leg is weaker.
I know.
This is all consistent with your medical history and test results.
Yep.

He did mention surgery (No surprise, he is neurosurgeon.) He talked about the “minor” clean-up disc kind of surgery. I’m going for an MRI and x-rays this afternoon. That’s all the news on this front, or um, back, for now.

And here is another picture of my new yarn because it makes me happy.
