indy-itis

After a long weekend there is so much to share. I've been moved that a few of you have told me that you missed my blog while I was on vacation. Thanks! I'm glad to know I'm not writing purely for my own enjoyment! I’ll be adding a few snap-shots of my trip to the Indy 500 as the week progresses. I have a definate case of Indy-itis. I can't think about anything but open-wheel cars and Sam Hornish.

It is 593.48 miles from my apartment in Nashville to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at the corner of 16th & Georgetown in Speedway, IN. My Honda, “Parnelli Belle”, drove more miles this weekend than Sam Hornish’s Marlboro–Team Penske Honda Dallara. The most glaring differences being that Parnelli Belle never broke 200 mph and didn’t make roughly $2 million.
