"good morning dear"

I am very happy to report that I had a headache free weekend. That means that more rows and sequences were completed on my California Clapotis. At this rate it’ll be complete by August when the humidity levels here in The Mid-South will be perfect for wrapping up in yards of hand knit fabric. My goal is to complete it by the Indy 500. Then I can begin a new project (Christy’s socks and/or Buttonhole Bag) in time for the road trip to Indianapolis.

Most Fridays John & I watch a movie from Netflix. But being that John was running the Country Music Half-Marathon on Saturday I ended up watching the Daytime Emmy Awards. Kym (my dear friend since the 3rd grade/life-long ATWT watcher) said in an email this morning: Did you actually watch? I taped it and was able to watch the parts that interested me in about 30-45 minutes. That was probably the smarter option being that I only watch As the World Turns. But I was able to get some knitting & picture taking & straightening done during the show. I was bored bored bored by General Hospital & Guiding Light winning so many awards. However, Jennifer Landon (Michael’s daughter) who plays Gwen Norbeck, er, Munson WON the Young Actress award. She’s a great little actress & currently one of my favorite characters on the show. Helen Wagner (“Nancy Hughes”) received a standing ovation before an ATWT montage. She’s in the Guinness Book of World Records for being on ATWT for since the first episode 50 years ago. And my did she look lovely at age 87 in her peach frock. I kind of teared up during the montage. Hey, I’ve watched that show a looonnggg time.

Why yes, I did take pictures of my TV.

Last night I had the random urge to put yarn on my kitchen table and take pictures. So, I’m flashing my stash a month late.

Looks like some really good progress on the clapotis! Here's to more headache-free days.
