oh. no.

So, it's like 3:35 in the afternoon. And I'm just sitting here at work doing...work. I look at my calender. I had to blink 3 or 4 times.
Holy Moses! Today is the 12th. Is today the 12th? Is it? The 12th! Today?

Oh no!

Oh no!

April 12th! That it today? Today is that day? It's David Letterman's birthday and I totally forgot!

Actually, it's my best friend's birthday and I haven't said a word about it to her all day. It's not that I don't know when her birthday is. It's that I didn't know what day today was. Today is April 12th and today is BeLinda's birthday. Please forgive me dear BFF.

I'm sorry....

Can you belive that I did that? We've been friends for like over 16 years. Her children are my god children. I was her maid-of-honor. She will be my matron-of-honor. She is practially a member of my family. She calls my Uncle Wayne "Uncle Wayne". We have walked the paths of unrequited love together...and zipper ties. We have matching armadillo charms from James Avery (“Why are you wearing an armadillo?”). We have stayed up all night long seriously anazliying a Noah and the Ark mural in the basement of Munday Lodge. There was the time with the Gary and the note on the car and the toilet paper. I have like 4,747 handwritten letters from the woman. There was the massive keep away game with HB’s stupid Dallas Cowboys magazine. There was the Chris Cessna fight at the Canteen. There was Fu-Gate...scandal that it was! There was Kai's Easter Bat. There's been a lot of lip balm and PartyLite candles. Oh and that time we tried to wake the dead in Kappie with a piece of string and violin bow. Beverly Hills 90210. People for the Ethical Treatment of Racoons. WE HAVE THE SAME MIDDLE NAME! Not to mention David Hawkins. We can never forget David Hawkins. Ever. And we won't.

Happy Birthday BeLinda!

If it gives you any comfort I forgot to call my mom on her birthday on Monday. And she gave me free womb and board. What's with me this week?

ha! MOM thought that Kevin was wrapping a rubber band around a pickle. He was putting a rubberband around that little yellow pill box that held his lactaid that he carried in his pocket. I did forget about our matching class rings. Ahhhh, so many memories.

Thanks for sending me an Easter card that I got on your birthday that only compounded my guilt.
