I’m competing in the Olympics

I have signed up to participate in the Knitting Olympics sponsored by Yarn Harlot. I’m going to use the Noro yarn that BFF sent me for Christmas to make a Booga Bag. Last night I found some Clover 10 ½ doubled pointed needles at Threaded Bliss.

This is how it works. A lot of yarn whores, er, I mean knitters have signed up to complete a knitting project during Olympics. You can’t cast on until the flame has been lit at the opening ceremonies and you have to be done by the time the flame is extinguished at the closing ceremonies. There are no medals; just the satisfaction of a completed project and the motivation to complete it in two weeks while knowing that hundreds of other knitters are working their fingers to the bone right along with you. I do suppose that a lot of knitters are gluttons for punishment. But it’s a good pain.
